Alfaro, decades before becoming President of Alfaro Oil and Gas, overcame the biggest battle he would face in his young life; he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the young age of 18. It is because of this that he is reaching out to remind the community to get involved with the National MS Society.
Brian K. Alfaro has been a lifelong champion of supporting community involvement and philanthropic giving. Brian K. Alfaro is making additional efforts to reach out to others in the hope that they too will get involved, especially given our current economic climate. “Many of us feel like we’re doing everything we can just to pay the bills,” explained Brian K. Alfaro. “It is my goal to remind the community that community service extends far beyond donating monetarily.”
“The National MS Society offers a variety of ways for the community to get involved that don’t involve a monetary donation,” said Brian K. Alfaro. As part of their commitment to creating a world free of MS, the National MS Society holds fundraisers such as biking events, walking events, mud runs, and challenge walks, among other community events. Getting involved to help out this worthwhile cause is simple. “If athletics aren’t your cup of tea,” explains Brian K. Alfaro; “Individuals can lend a hand by becoming MS activists.”
The goal is to help turn MS issues into national priorities by calling on public officials to make changes that benefit people living with MS.Brian K. Alfaro will always hold a special place in his heart for the National MS Society which is why he is reaching out to remind the community that donating to a worthwhile cause like this doesn’t have to cost money.
